I have been doing a lot of research on how the end of the Nazi's came about in ww2 and the soviet union was absolutely the force that ended Hitler. yeah we were there but it was the soviet union that Hitler was afraid of. it was the soviet union that took berlin. Not letting Russia attend the D-day commemoration ceremony is just wrong. Russians lost millions of sons to WW2, and the soviet union lost tens of millions. They made the decision to join the alliance with Britain and the USA to defeat Hitler and the Nazis. Yet, they get no recognition? No thanks? No honoring the memories of their lost that died alongside ours? We get to commemorate the war, but those who lost more in that war than anyone else doesn't? That is ridiculous, and insulting.
