Wonderful tv ad, as an Amco wearing 16yo in 1971, I just thought this ad was terrific. All the people in the ad would now be aged 75-80..!! The guy outside the meeting hall with the mo and long hair was what I wanted to look like..!!

Never knew this jeans company existed. So what happened to amco jeans? Did it fall victim to the likes of levi's, blues union and other clothing brands of the time? Levi's jeans are definitely still around.

Amco denim had a bad habit of splitting after a while. I used to wear them in the 1960s when I was a teenager. They had a factory in Yennora.
