I worked at a print shop where on occasion we would shrink wrap each other's vehicles. Also, I put a co-workers vehicle up on blocks just high enough you couldn't tell the tires were off the ground. We all thought he was going to send that engine into space. You could hear him cussing over the engine noise and the windows rolled up. My ribs hurt for the next 2 days.

My freshman year at UT Peyton came and worked out with us for a few days. We were in 7 on 7 and he was the QB. Just drawing routes on the football in the huddle and telling us which step to look for the ball. He threw me a DUCK no lie lol. I came back to the huddle and jokingly said “if that was a bit higher it would’ve been a touchdown” (I’m 6’5 btw) he had been joking with us all day but when I said tht he got dead serious and said “you haven’t played enough football to tell me what would’ve been a touchdown, grab some water” I was shook! lol but he was right. Humbling experience

I grew up in Indiana idolizing Manning. And the older I get, the more it wears off. I met him on a USO tour and thought he was a bit of a jerk. But I chalked it up to him being tired of people/travel. But I've now lived in Denver for 10 years. Not uncommon at all to meet people that have met him around or been to an event he was at. No one has ever had good things to say about meeting him when there wasn't a film crew taping it. The terms most often used are "he was kind of a dick" or "he got mad about something" The "aw shucks" thing seems to be a schtick
