I'm still shocked at how much YG held the girls back... It’s wild, really. Eight years of BLACKPINK, and they barely hit 32 songs. That’s basically nothing when you think about how big they are. Then, all of a sudden, we get 39 songs from just their solo projects? 😭 YG’s strategy was clearly to milk the hype without actually giving them the freedom to show what they’re capable of as a group. If they’d been allowed to actually release music regularly, BLACKPINK would’ve dominated the game in ways we can't even imagine. It’s almost like they were locked in a cage while the solo stuff is what they’ve been itching to release the whole time.

I personally take Quality over quantity. YG may have produced less songs...but each one of them are chartbuster. Also the strategy of maintaining hype made blackpink exactly what they are now

Now I think their hiatus was necessary. Now all the members got the opportunity to release many musics that yg didn’t give the freedom to them.They are now more independent and free after leaving yg.Besides their group activities, it was also necessary to build up their own solo career.Yg used their talent for nothing.I'm really happy that they finally got the chance to show their Talent and successfully building up Their solo careers.But I'm still grateful to yg because of forming a legendary girl group Blackpink.Best of luck for the girls🫶🏻

I mean yeah, YG was very underworking them, but actually, almost every BP song under YG is well known & promoted. Meanwhile for example, Rosie’s album is known only for APT., toxic till the end and NO.1 Girl. Of course they are only starting their solo career, but they underpromote their other songs. So personally I think we shouldn’t call neither lazy. They both are trying their best, and we can’t criticize neither YG, bcz at least he wasn’t overworking the girls, and he promoted the songs really well, but nor BP itself. They are only starting their solo career, and alredy so well known even in non kpop. Both are trying their best❤

It's true that YG held them back in many sides, but BP is also BP cuz of YGE 🤷 although they dropped less songs, they had quality. Which helped the members to gain a large number of followers and now succeeding in their solo activities .

YG only had less than 10 producers and these producers have to work with many groups in YG. Teddy is the only one dedicated to Blackpink.
