Blocked from Debate, Socialist Candidate Claudia De la Cruz Blasts ‘Spectacle‘ of Democracy

Kamala Harris and Donald Trump’s first, and likely last, debate was just held last night, Tuesday, September 10, 2024. America’s tortured form of “democracy” was on display for the whole world to see.

Brian Becker is joined by Claudia De La Cruz, a presidential candidate for the Party for Socialism & Liberation, a lifelong community organizer, popular educator, and theologian.

Political parties should never have any say in creating election/campaign policies that decide who gets to run for office. Beyond conflict of interest.

Some would argue that home ownership is a way to build wealth in a family. I say 1- it’s broken and corporations are buying them up.
2- to own multiple homes means someone else can’t own their homes and you are skimming off them.
3- people already with money are the only ones who can buy a home.

It is good to see some revolutionary optimism amidst this atmosphere of post-left grifting gone wild and general malaise and disorientation. A mass movement is what America needs and we must keep working. We need to get involved or stay involved in our communities.
