Here's how I built a heavy duty custom motorcycle frame jig.

Thanks to my channel sponsors:

My camera gear:

My name's Matt Urch and I own and run Urchfab welding and fabrication.
I specialise in custom automotive fabrication from building roll cages to complete one off builds. I built the worlds most unique and oldest drift car known as 'The Drift Rod' which can be found on my channel.

So if you're into grinding, welding, fabricating, etc, you're in the right place!

Such a masterpiece of a video. The pain of the damaged mug! The heartache of the snapped Tap! And the triumph of the finished jig!
Kidding aside, this was really cool to see. I've always wanted to know how frames for bikes got assembled by hand.

It was good to see it all come together. I know I’ve seen it all before, but I liked it. I’ve missed your metalworking capabilities.

Great job, extremely professional. I do like to leave the axle plate mount bracket adjustable. To allow for different length hard tails.

Now that is a nice piece of work! I'd love to have a workshop like that but I'd have to sell my house to get all the machinery. Then there's the fact that I'd have to spend a few months teaching myself how to use the Plasma Table! I've subscribed so I can watch more of your fantastic work! Cheers

Nice job Matt that plasma table certainly saves a lot time, shame about the mug, still could always turn up a new one on the lathe👍

Hi Matt, Great vid as always. If I could give you one bit of advice it would be, chamfer all the holes prior to tapping. Chamfering after can have a slight tendency to mess up the top of the thread. Otherwise faultless work.

I have the starts of a jig at my workshop. One of them things that came up for grabs I got it and haven’t had time to even consider making it work 🤣

Can I change the frame of a small regular bike to make it look like a Superbike?...
I love superbikes but I can't afford them so I want to build myself a frame of a Superbike but using every other thing for Bajaj Boxer.

Excellent! But I should buy all this equipment at first and to improve my skills up to the same level! 😁

Looks alot cheaper than buying one my m8 had one made of I beams for building buggy's on but it took up most of the shed and needed a forklift to move it!

Actually, this guy is not teaching me how to build my jig. He's just showing off all the damn tools that I don't have.
