Hi Mark, I'm an English teacher and I give business English courses. I realize that your videos are great resources to use as a lesson material. Excellent audio/video quality, humorous way of expressing oneself, a great variety of useful phrases and vocabulary. English learners need a variety of vocabulary, cameras are not everyone's hit point. However, they will love you :)

It took me a year to understand why I needed to upgrade from the kit lens. When I tried the Sigma 16 mm F1.4, I understood aperture for the first time. I let the light in.

showing sample of the zv-e10 II with the sigma 18-50 would be the icing on the cake

I just got this lens and cannot stress this enough to anybody who is getting this. The kit lens is amazing for a kitlens and the lens you want to have if you want a portable set up. This is what i use for family parties or trips to the lake etc. this is something that works solid in good light because you dont want to have to carry heavy all the time

I would recommend getting the Kit-lens if it's your first camera. Because if you've never tried different focal-length's before and you're coming from Smartphone Photography, you can get to know the normal zoom range and find out what you use most, or that you always long for more or less range, before you invest in a prime lens.

Hey Mark, For the $100 w/ camera I think it's totally worth getting considering the sharpness, compactness, and, focus breathing comp, & powerzoom features. The slow variable aperture sucks, but all the rest is pretty darn good, especially if you have no other lenses yet. Clearly there are much better lens options out there, but not for $100.... Great review man!

Mark, you are so lucky. Where you live is a blessing. When you get rain, your area gets greener. When we get rain, we get a lot of weeds and brush that turns into fires during the summer. We have brown ground and brown sky. Yuck.
Oh, the subject of kit lens, they do a good enough job when in a pinch or when learning how to use a camera. Also good for those videos where super images are not an issue. And it's cheap when purchased as part of the kit.
You hit it on the nail. The next lens has to be the Sigma 18-50. I've used it for general photography and for close up photography. And it is SHARP.
Another award winning video by the Prince of Videography.

I’ve watched about 20 reviews about the ZV E10 M2 and NOBODY has talked about Gyrodata for stabilisation. Everybody says the video stabilisation is just not enough and they just Lied to my face. Great review!!

I love the old version too... Never skip the chance of kit lenses if you are buying a new sony camera, guys.
PS: I love 55-210 kit lens too.

i actually recently fell in love with the kit lense from an old a6400 i had. i have the zv1, a6700, and a7cii. i used the zv1 mainly for walking and shooting. going to travel last week i through on the kit lens which i havent used since 2021, and absolutely fell in love. i created a custom filter, set some custom buttons for the electronic zoom, threw it in jpeg only, apeture priority and just enjoyed the size and simplicity, the stabilization which is absolutely gimbal like with the a6700 and active stable. 10x more stable than my 18-50, smaller and more fun.

The sel1650 is actually really sharp in the center. This mark II version has insane focus speed, faster than any APS C lenses I own. It's perfect for kids and pets photos and videos .

That tiny little mic sounded nice! But the internal audio wasn't too bad either.

I'd genuinely use one of these lenses on my A6700 as a cheap travel lens you don't have to worry about much. Only problem is that it's too slow. I don't really like using anything slower than f/4. If they could get it like f/2.8-4, and in a similar form factor this would be dope. I mean sigmas f2.8 18-50 is pretty compact, they couldn't go smaller if it had variable aperature af like 2.8-4, instead of the 3.5-5.6 or whatever it is? Or even just a BIT bigger than this? Hell, I'd even be okay if it was like a constant 3.5

I'd just like a really small, basic, "default lens". Something like this one that I could basically keep on the camera and fit into a small case. Something compact, and basically work as a body cap to protect the sensor while minimizing space, but be able to break out the camera and it's ready to go without attaching a lens, while not being much bigger than with a body cap.

I’m new to your channel because I’m in the market for this exact camera and saw a lot of your videos! But outside of that your commentary is off the charts!! I’m laughing at the small mic comment at @8:11… you are too funny! 😂

Hey Mark! What shutter speed do you use when you plan to to apply Catalyst stabe later?
Also, does the ZV-E10 II have the exact same screen as the original ZV-E10? I remember it was really bad...

Hey Mark, curious if you plan to do a full settings rundown of the zvex2? Also any idea when more accessories are coming? Amazon doesn't have a single camera cage for this yet. Love the content you create! Cheers!
