What happens to the data once it is collected? There are 2 primary ways data is being commercialized: legally, through an economy of data brokers who gather, repackage, and sell data, often times to advertisers, and illegally, to spaces like the dark web and other bad actors who aim to steal identities, bribe, and otherwise.
