I bought it from Studica, although there are many similar online retailers for students. Usually, you provide them with a scan of your student card during or after purchase.

For me, it took about 3 days. You'll need to ask your school about getting a card or other proof (letters are also accepted).

You will need to supply Adobe with a scan of your student card (or other means of proof) and they will send you the serial number.

Well, gradually. The Hiragana took over a month to learn and the Katakana I am sure will be more challenging.

No. The purpose of a student card is to prove that you are currently studying in an educational institution. Were it possible to obtain it elsewhere, that would defeat the purpose of having it as a requirement.

@troy2062 Yes it should be. :) I do Japanese at GSCE and the katakana is ALOT harder than Hirigana. Kanji is the hardest of them all. :)
