The Moment We Locked Eyes
Evelyn boarded the last train of the night, exhausted from a long day. She found herself sitting across from a man who seemed equally tired, his head resting against the window. As the train rumbled through the city, their eyes met. Neither spoke, but the silence between them was comforting.

As the train slowed at her stop, Evelyn stood to leave. The man suddenly spoke, his voice soft: "I don't know your name, but I feel like I've known you forever." She smiled, scribbling her number on a scrap of paper. "Maybe next time, we'll talk." The doors closed behind her, but something told her their story had only just begun.
