ima MMA fan since 1998 personally and the term casual fan is extremely overused lol someone doesnt have to be able to name every UFC fighter or know every ground position to be a fan and to be real it takes yearssss of watching before you have a real understanding of MMA. i never thought of SAS as a fake fan. the fact he speaks on it was a boost to the brand in reality 💯

First off, you didn’t answer the question of being a real MMA fan. Second, real MMA fans know what a hammer fist is instead of calling it a “chop.”

As someone who follows mma religiously, I can tell you first hand that fight fans are the most fickle and protective bunch of snowflake fans you can get. Always so quick to flip out and call people "casuals". Stephen A never claims to be an expert and I don't mind him sharing his opinion.
No one ever criticises Max for talking MMA and he says just as many uninformed things. He gets a pass just because he covers boxing
