To be clear, "Land of the Rising Sun" is an English interpretation of the country's name, 日本, which is composed of the kanji for "sun" and "origin". The pronunciation of this name is a little difficult to explain due to the complex history of the Japanese language, but conventionally it's pronounced _Nippon, _ though in modern times it's common to hear _Nihon_ instead. (The English "Japan" also ultimately derives from this kanji, but we got it from the Chinese, hence the different pronunciation)

In Korea, we have a word called “선진국” and it means “developed country”. However, we call Japan the “성진국” which is a play on words meaning “sexually advanced country”.

Cube watermelons are really expensive, they're mostly bought as gifts. It's for decoration, rather than easy storage

Fruits in Japan is basically considered luxury and families usually don’t buy them for themselves, it’s more likely to be gifts, that’s also why a lot of fruits have really fancy packaging. But fr they do taste good

Japan is named the land of the rising sun by the only female Chinese emperor in history, Wu Zetian. Before this, Japan used to be called Wa, which held a dual-meaning of “peace” and “dwarf”. So when a Japanese delegate visited Wu Zetian, and asked if she could rename Wa to something better, Wu Zetian thought that since Wa was to the east of China, and the east is where the sun rises from, it made sense that the place should be called the land of the rising sun. Also made sense because throughout history, the majority of East Asia was Sinocentric (even Vietnam got its modern name through its geographical relation to China; Vietnam is to the south of China, and Vietnam means “further south”) So Wu Zetian gave the name “sun’s origin” to the land in the east, and that name was transliterated through many languages and finally into English as “Japan”, which the nation is known as till today.

The reason Japan is called "The Land of the Rising Sun" is also because that's (almost) literally it's name. The name Nihon, or Nippon (日本), uses the kanji for sun (日) and origin (本).

A lot of Japanese place names work like this. Tokyo (東京) means East Capital, and Kyoto (京都) means Capital Metropolis (see how it has 京 in both names?). Another example would be Hokkaido (北海道), which means North Ocean Path, and Tohoku (東北), which literally just means East North. You can see how the east (東) kanji is the same one used in Tokyo, and the north (北) kanji is the same one used in Hokkaido.
