How to remove a Harley ignition switch

I’ve got to replace mine due to a damaged key cylinder. I’m doubting that the key will actuate the release to pull the assembly out. Would you mind informing what to do in that scenario? It’s on an ‘06 Street Glide.

While in the subject, do you know how to re-wire the spot lamps so they stay on with the high beams activated? Thanks!

What if you bought a bike with no key? How do I remove?

Would a short in my ignition switch cause my voltage gauge to drain. I’ve already have a new:
Battery
Statter
And voltage regulator.
But sometimes when I turn my switch on if you barely touch it it turns off and on real quick. When riding I’m wondering if when I hit a bump it does it. My gauge will go down to about 10 then a minute later go back to normal

What happens when u imstall it. Your not linged up. Mine goes im. And when turing it turns rhe enging on. But the switch has a click feel. After i instaled that. It no longer has that fell.

What if i can remove the ignition without the key? I just press the button with it in the lock position and it comes out.

Man I crashed mine blew the whole front end apart and I cannot for the life of me get it removed
