Video review on the 3157 bulbs made by Auxbeam. These are intended to replace a dual filament incandescent bulb which can be found on brake and parking light or parking and signal light combos. These use a 5730 chip which contains 33 surface-mount light emitting diodes, are intended for 12v applications, are about 33 watts, 360 degree beam angle, and are CE FCC and ROHS compliant. They have an environmentally design which includes being able to save energy and there is no ultra violet or infrared radiation. These bulbs are also shock-proof and have anti corrosion qualities. Included in the pack is two bulbs which comes in a foam safety shield, these are a plug and play setup, so no need for any socket modifications. The dimensions of the LED bulb is 2.4” or 62mm in total height and 0.9” or 22mm in width.

Overall you can see the there is a huge increase in light output in the comparison. While these are brighter, they do run cooler and help increase your visibility on the road to fellow motorists, improving safety. I have been using these in both a brake and parking light combo and a parking and signal light applications with great results. While the incandescent bulbs do have more of a yellowish color, these have a pure white, about 4300 kelvin.

Overall I must say I’m quite impressed with the performance. They not only perform great, but they also provide function as well maintaining one’s safety on the road. They have a clean design with a well made construction which should ensure a long life.

Great video. Be sure to use 'red' leds' through red lenses and 'amber' for amber. You will get much better color result than if you use white emitters, due to the Higher Kelvin output from the LED's

I wish I'd seen this before I wasted money on cheap bulbs that have almost no difference in brightness between the tail/brake functions
