I have the m5 competition. Love it. Rear diffuser the same though and you incorrectly state the sound muted due to opf, that’s not the case as the 19 model also had opf, It’s actually the ECU that’s had tweaks. No more extra power on lci but they have pulled back the pops and bangs that the earlier model had. Nothing to do with opf however, just fuelling emissions etc. Also gesture control is not just on Lci, Was on 19 models too 👍🏼

A great review however I feel the updated M5 although a fantastic car is just not updated enough to justify the cost over a year old M5 competition.Because the average person would not no the difference unless pointed out to them.

That's the muffler you showed, OPFs are small canister like structures further up the exhaust toward the engine . Would love this car, playing on BOTB for one lol.

Stef, all earlier M5 Competitions had the OPFs fitted.

Considering the opf filters it sounds menacing compared to new rs and even AMG cars

The pre LCI cars had OPF too, all petrol BMWs since 2018 have had them - difference with the LCI cars is they’ve coded out the overrun cracks/burbles
