20+ Helpful Paint Tool SAI Shortcuts - Tutorial

Here's some helpful keyboard shortcuts for paint tool SAI. I came up with a list of the shortcuts that I personally find the most useful. I hope you enjoyed the video!

If you hold down ctrl-shift and click on something (not drag) you will go to the layer where that is. This is very helpful for people that use a lot of layers and don't name them

ctrl+alt+drag is resizing your brush if you move your mouse right and left, and you can also tweak the hardness, if you move it up and down

Ctrl + N = New canvas
Ctrl + D = Unselect the selected things

Here's a little trick i often use: When you are transforming something hold down Alt and it only rotates, Control and it only activates the Free Deform and of course as you said Shift for locking the Scale. Hope this helps a little c:

You can press ctrl+alt and then drag, which lets you set the exact brush size.

don't know it has been said. But for those who want a layer very precisely, you can hold ctrl and the left, right, up or down key. It will move your drawing inch by inchi. It is VERY useful if you want to use paint tool sai to do animation for example.

A very useful shortcut for resizing your brush/current tool: CTRL+ALT then press and hold the pen/mouse and move to left or right to resize. I discovered it by accident replicating the shortcuts in your video

Damn I've been using Sai for years and didn't realize or just forgot about there being any kind of 'curve' tools lmao... I was just looking for how to move a selection by a few pixels, which you showed in the end of the video, but now I learned a lot more so thanks!!
