Interesting video and bewildering comment that provoked it, at least for me. My religious journey started with wicca, and is currently with mormonism. In wicca the rede was probably the closest thing to a "cannon" that I learned about, but without a concept of scripture. And in the LDS church we have a cannon of 4 writings, including the Bible, that is expected to grow. However, we hold many other writings and sayings outside of these to be scripture as well.
It is hard for me to understand the meshing of categories that the 66 book version of the Bible is the only cannon, incapable of change, and those specific books also exhausts the categories of holy scripture and authority, and must do so streatched into the past as well.

All the scrolls written and hidden for many centuries at different places through ancient Canaan that is word for word the same and some are still hidden.
