Bonobo 'Kerala'

New music from Simon Green aka Bonobo is always an event, but when it heralds the arrival of a whole new album and a subsequent tour, it’s really something to get excited about. The masterful, magisterial 'Migration' is Green’s sixth album and it’s a record which cements his place in the very highest echelons of electronic music and beyond.

Teasing us with what is to come, Bonobo drops lead track ‘Kerala’. It’s both a classic piece of Bonobo music and a development, all arpeggiated, twisted, layered strings and shuffling dancefloor rhythm. The music gradually builds until his introduction of a sample from RnB singer Brandy, itself cut up and dealt with as a further texture, with the whole sitting in a sweet spot of uplifting euphoria that he’s so adept at finding.

My hands down, favorite song by him. Makes me smile every time. Went to see him at Space in Miami and I caught Dennis Sulta(warmup) and I couldn't hang(Getting Old)....lol His set did not start until 4am. Will definitely make the effort next time.

If I knew how to buy his CDs I would. These songs are amazing and calming. I actually found him from that song ssx world tour and the song was flutter and I have been hooked ever since. I wonder if he's still making music.
