on a side note ever since I was a kid I loved to blow candles out like it were my birthday, everytime at a fancy restaraunt snif out it goes if you want to have a lot of fun and get lots of attention squeeze you lips and make a razzberry sound, or if you never want a particular jar candle to light again cuz you dont like the smell grab the smelly candle and run it under the sink it will seal the water in so the candle will never light again

well If you take one from the old church guys if you use a snuffer properly it wont smoke, that is lower it and wait till the smoke comes out and slowly lift up so that very little oxygen gets to the wick as it burns out it works, but takes 15 seconds at least, and do no ever pound the snuffer onto the candle I know its fun to use it to stomp the fire out but it messes up the wax and the wick by pushing it into the pool of wax and it wont get an even burn, and jar candles i just swish the wax

Snuffers seem almost pointless with the amount of smoke they give out, huh? The wick dipper and tweezers are the best form of extinguishing a flame. FOR SURE! :)
