If losing your top secret research facility is the definition of "good" then I hope we don't get to "bad"

I like that Shack’s or Shed in this case reason for ignoring the Maw is he didn’t know. Hehe classic Shack never change.

Shack I noticed that you only use three ISD’s per-a-fight and you have four in one fleet (including Vader). If you move one of them to the fleet at Byss you could have a new fleet you can take to the north without suffering much fire power in the south.

If it were me, I’d say the Empire losing a world and several capital ships to a fleet of ‘shield wall’ MC80s would make them invest in ion weaponry to counter the new threat

I am predicting a large rebel offensive on all fronts, they have been preparing for it, elite forces are being trained. The strategic initiative is shifting, this campaign is about to get real interesting. Makes for good TV.

Good luck

it's always so funny seeing Vader just walking into heavy gun/tank/turret/artillery fire and just wave his sword around being not just fine
but killing his way through the horde and destroying the enemy base

Shack, great vid, if you want the Tector and other capital ships build a "Imperial Advanced Warship Shipyard" over a plant (Fondor, Kuat, Byss, Corellia...)
The same goes for cruisers, just with the cruiser variant shipyard and also with the fighter variant :)
PS building the star fighter shipyard also makes it so that you can upgrade your victory- and imperial star destroyers to the 'advanced fighter loadout'

Journal of Gunnery Captain Tobias, final entry.
In my many years of service, I have met a lot of ISB agents but never an angry one. So when I came down to the brig for a little 'interview' and saw that he was seething with rage and doing a very poor job of hiding it, I knew I had to be careful or else my entire career and life would go up in flames. He asked me a couple of questions about my loyalty to the emperor, my service to the former republic, and my hobbies of course. But the last question made me go into panic mode as he asked me about black holes, and so I responded with an in-depth scientific explanation of black holes and why they exist, and that might have saved my life as he let me go, but the blaster shots I heard while exiting the brig and the sudden absence of my chief gunnery officer suggests I was very lucky to be alive.

Giju will go down both as my finest hour and the day I signed my death warrant as on that day, I got a notice, a notice of promotion to captain, it seems the purge of the imperial officer core didn't stop at my chief gunnery officer and now the devastator lacked a captain, and they selected me to me it's new captain, and I'm terrified because now I'm closer than ever to Lord Vader and I know if I make a mistake I will go straight to the morgue, and now I wish that ISB officer had just shot me.

Get the starfighter tech, Shack. The Lancer frigates are vital.

I love how you play this game. It's great to watch you having fun. Probably not the most wise investments on the overmap, but certainly the most fluffy and enjoyable way to play. The lack of pausing during battles gives me anxiety, but is very entertaining!

Personal Journal, <The Right Hand>, Neo-Inquisitorius
Giju
<The Power of Fear>

"Lord Vader led the battle of Giju personally and instructed me to stay at his side throughout. Even on the bridge as he ordered the fleet to orbit and obliterate the Pirate fleet in orbit to the ground battle where the streets were ultimatly paved with the bodies of the Black Sun. It's in these instances, on the eve and amidst the battle that I have noticed the aura around Lord Vader become more intense than what is usual."

"The sense of anger that eminates from him is... suffocating. So strong and intense it nearly overwhelmed me during the 'selection' for his new Inquisitors. Now, while slightly more tolerable it still feels stifling, palpable it could almost be touched. And he showed me on Giju what it was capable of."

"Even as the soldiers and vehicles took up position at the edge of the capital city, I could sense all but those of the 501st detachment afraid, rooted in place by fear of what Lord Vader would do to them if they failed here. Even as our forces marched through the streets of the city, even as they came under fire from the Pirate weapon emplacements this fear forced them to march on into a slaughter field. Yes they withdrew to coax out enemy fixtures but as soon as they could, they turned around and threw themselves at the enemy even as Lord Vader and I marched with them through the streets."

"And then... such unimaginable, raw power. Lord Vader reaching out toward vehicles and even buildings and sought to crush them under the sheer weight of the Dark Side, vehicles compacting as if caught in a hypderdense gravity well, buildings just collapsing under the sheer weight of Lord Vader's anger. Even after the dust settled and the ground forces started to secure the surrounding area, Lord Vader never said a word afterward... he didn't have to as I understood as clear as day. Fear, Anger, Aggression. These give power to the Dark Side and through that the Dark Side can render you nigh unstoppable."

"On the trip back to the Devastator I slowly realize that this is what the Left Hand is hoping to emulate and achieve. Tapping in to what anger and hatred her training has imparted on her, her defeats during our little games only stoking that fire in her. Where as I... am reminded of a saying: 'Beware the fury of a patient man'. Theirs is the most terrifying when unleashed."

[ Personal Log ]
[ Subject: Galm Foulke, 457th Imperial TIE Squadron, No. 2 ]
[ Assigned to Gozanti-Class "Seveneer" ]

"First contact"

So command wanted to make a move onto the Ring of Kafrene. A station in the literal middle of nowhere, now supposed to act as a sort of "early warning" or "bufferzone" for the core's southern front. To do that, we had to break through the world of... Gee-joo? Guy-joo? Jee-joo?- that watery hell of a planet. Parrel brought the Seveneer long after the fleet jumped in, so we landed smack-dab in the middle of a Corellian shootout. ...Speaking of Corellians, this would be our first time taking a look at those Corellian Battlecruisers. Vicke's favorite ship, likely due to bias. The 457th took initiative after Vader lured a few of those starfighters onto his tail. One hell of a shootout, yeah. I'd say robbing a few kills from Kears is karma enough for winning against me in a few bets.

Around maybe a few hours before the ground forces landed, the news finally reached us. Lianna, an outer rim world close to rebel territory, was hit. Badly. Whatever garrison we had was lost to, from what I can tell, a "shield wall" of those Mon Cal ships. The fleet definitely fought well enough though, just enough to destroy a sizable chunk of the rebel fleet.

After the 501st mopped up everything on the ground, we headed off to the Ring of Kafrene itself. Occupied by a small Black Sun fleet and a few pirates, we (especially the 457th), thought it'd be a cakewalk. There was one small issue though. Out in that furball, right in the middle of all those cloakshapes and T-wings, iff showed an unidentified starfighter of sorts. We dismissed it for a short while, until we saw it ourselves tearing apart a TIE squadron in front of us... in seven seconds flat.

Initially, I thought it was an X-Wing. It didn't match it's silhouette though, having one hell of a wingspan and... definitely a lot more maneuverability. Hell, I'm not even sure anything outside a droid fighter could fly like that. The 457th gave chase, actually getting a few shots on it. It seemed like it was... toying with us? Yes, we gave chase. Yes we got shots on it. No, we didn't get whatever the hell it was. It hyperspaced away as soon as furball turned to our favor. Rienn doesn't believe the story. After all, she was in reserve the entire time. Parrel on the other hand was less skeptical. Reagel and I asked about that X-Wing. To quote Parrel, it doesn't ring any bells for him. Not sure if he'll take it to the ISB for investigation or just keep it under wraps for now. Suffice to say, more investigation is required.

My personal recommendation for Tech would be medium warships, as it is the tech we are the most behind on, and it allows the construction of carriers

Imp Rep 10 - It would appear that some of the recent defeats have brought about some measure of change in the major strategy to be followed, and from what Lord Vader tells me, much of this is understandable. He says things like this happened back in the Clone Wars where the CIS made major strikes at some systems and generated a panic among the civilian population. He also mentions that many, if not all of these defeats, had been the result of the Jedi not understanding war or anything related to it. Which to me, also makes sense. A bunch of warrior monks with laser swords will never understand logistics or military firepower, and thus why they left countless worlds to be ground under droid "boots" in the Clone Wars and forcing the military to power through the Jedi's mistakes. On some levels, Lord Vader's respect for the Force also strikes as odd, but unlike the Jedi who never served a day in their worthless lives in any military capacity... Lord Vader was schooled at all the Republic's military academies and graduated with perfect marks in every course, and thus why Lord Vader was able to defeat the entire CIS at Mustafar at the end of the Clone Wars.

Now, as the Rebels try to push out against our forces in the northeast, the galaxy is recovering from the losses at Naboo and the Maw Instillation and is raising panic among Imperial citizens, likely at what the "freedom" the Rebels profess to support and the "promise" of chaos that the Black Sun has made. Much of this will require a massive amount of infrastructure and Lord Vader has put in place plans for a limited move to secure the major ship building worlds in the core and other areas. The base plan would be to assure that a massive amount of production can be built up so that the Empire may move in nearly any direction with at least three Imperial Star Destroyers per fleet. That will be impressive and will take time, but Lord Vader has invested in this strategy and has appeared to have calmed the Emperor with it.

At present, the campaign has taken us more in a southward direction in order to provide security for one of the major shipbuilding worlds that will be counted on... Fondor. This started with taking the planet of Giju, where while the Black Sun had a fair number of Corellian capital ships, they failed against the ISDs. These ships were likely stolen from Corelian companies still operating "private businesses, " which the Empire will surely end as this comes to light. As only the EMPIRE should do business and everyone else is to SERVE the EMPIRE. For look at the fate of Incom after they created the X-Wing for the Rebels... most of their leaders fled and those that didn't were executed, along with 40% of their workforce that protested nationalization, the remainder was enslaved...

Once Giju was taken, with only minimal losses from the regulars, the fleet moved to the Rings of Kafrene and secured that station. Scans of the region of space have reported more Black Sun worlds in the distance, but we now have a southern warning system while Lord Vader then moves back to securing the other worlds surrounding Fondor and allowing for the build of ships and weapons that will be needed for the strength and security of the Empire, which ALL citizens want. - Ensign Iam Minion.

Highly recommend you take and invest in Rendilli, they can build dreadnaught cruisers and Victories for cheaper - including the new advanced class that have Interceptors; you just need the advanced fighter dockyard

Idk if you’ll see this but you need to make the 7000 credit shipyard on Kuat or Fondor (where ever you want to build ISD’s) you have access to the better ISD’s already but 0 places to build.
