Thanks for the video Fran. I’m also a Hyde Park resident and have visited the FDR home and flushing corona park several times. It amazing to see what’s still around after all these years.

Great video! My grandmother told me she went to it. Dad told me granddaddy also went to it too. Grandmother told me she saw her self on a tv screen. After grandmother told me that I’ve been interested into the fair. It kind of looks like Epcot. I think the statue of Washington should be at Washington DC.

The Trylon was 700 ft. tall, not the statue. I’m sure that’s what meant to say. Thanks for this excellent video. I’ve been a fan of fairs and expositions for many years.

Sorry to correct - but the statue of Washington couldn't have been 700 feet tall! That would have made it as tall as a 70 story skyscraper. The statue was actually 60ft, which jives with the images in this otherwise very interesting video.
