Root is not mandatory for custom rom... without root tho installation tho aithe better root cheyadam valla some apps work cheyavu.. like paytm for business app assalu work cheyadu... Bro after installing the pixel experience is magisk tool delete cheyala vaddha, i think its not needed after installation, magisk is needed only if kernel changes need to be done
