This was bought on TikTok shop, a shopping portal within the TikTok app from a store called "Anbernic Direct". They often have deals and you get a bonus discount if you have never bought anything from a TikTok shop (which I hadn't).
Its also very likely this model was down this cheap because they were clearing old stock for the new 2024 refresh of the same device.
While you might not get this deal anymore there are still loads of great deals to be had! Maybe TikTok shop is a decent place to shop after all....

Yep. Can't find that price on the shop anywhere, chief. Been looking for one of those handheld for a while so that's disappointing.
