Hanna Hopko, a former lawmaker in the Ukrainian parliament, spoke with i24NEWS from Lviv, Ukraine, on intensified fighting in the country’s east.

On Monday, officials in Ukraine’s capital city Kyiv confirmed that Russia launched a major offensive on the two eastern separatist regions of Donetsk and Luhansk - known collectively as the Donbas.

Lviv/Lvov/Lemberg is situated in the western, traditionally Polish, part of the Ukraine entity. Definitely not in the eastern part of it.

And it seems now like 100% of the residential areas in city of Mariupol now firmly belongs to Russia again. Maybe some unfortunate ukro troops are still resisting in some pocket in Azovstal, inhumanely forbidden to surrender by the Kiev regime. But in practical terms it's game over for them.
