The Prime Minister is challenged over a newspaper article which suggested he tried to appoint Carrie Symonds to his official office before they were married.

Boris Johnson deflected the question during PMQs, responding that his government had generated employment at pre-pandemic levels.

One thing he managed to say without lying for once is that we have more people in "payrolled" employment than before the pandemic began. Normally he says we have more people in employment which is not true and he has lied about this even after being asked to correct the record and being written to by the UK statistics authority.

Anyway, he doesn't think rules about corruption (or fidelity) apply to him so he's always surprised that people expect him to answer for his actions. Classic narcissist.
