To the best time of my life like my sister and I were so in all of the barenaked Ladies we were so in love with them! I remember times when they would perform near Cleveland Ohio where we were just always be there after they performed almost chasing after them with them running away yet still being kind to us such amazing performers I do not feel anybody will feel their shoes ever! But I do love to hear new versions of the songs I loved so much!

Love the vocals. No vocal gymnastics just to show off. Soulful and heartfelt. Perfect for the song.

This song is so powerful, it doesn’t seem to matter which talented singer performs the lyrics. This version was awesome too. I’m going to go see if any female led band totally reworks it. 😢every time.

I would pay to see a BNL concert with the Persuasions singing vocals. Awesome job guys.

Wow, respect to the amazing singers. Steven Page is the original and the best.

My younger brother, younger sister and I grew up in a studio apartment. Cockroaches, rats, an old tree that was outside our kitchenette area, a creepy hippie Buddhist lady upstairs, a super nice gay neighbor who live next to her who fended off these neighborhood punks who kept harassing us, our Datsun 280z, playing hide and go seek around the Cul-du-sac, dodging crazy cousins visiting from Tonga who'd throw dried, white cat poo at us, the one time my dad punched and body slammed some stoner kids who tried to get me to steal his wallet (way before John and Nola was born), that time when I was looking for my 7-Up cans and ended up drinking my dad's entire 6 pack of Coors, me and my younger brother walking 4 miles to the Hyatt Cinema in Burlingame to watch Transformers: The Movie...

It wasn't the most optimal place to grow up, but you couldn't convince me then that I was poor. I loved that trashy apartment, and I loved my childhood experiences, good and bad. This song made me think about those times.

It's a great take on a great song. The Persuasions are an extremely talented group. They are well respected within there genre of music. What wrong with it? Its a collaboration. Very common in the music world. What does this have to do with someone who wanted to leave a band and did almost 10 years ago? How is that relevant? Why even watch this if you are so obsessed with Steven Page not being in BNL? Sounds very pathetic after all these years. I don't listen intentionally to music I don't like.

The Persuasions sound amazing on this. But it kind of underscores how important Steven Page was to the sound, the harmonies and his vocal.

It's dusty in here. That's it. That's why I'm crying. That's it. Fall coming on...got sinus problems, I bet. Definitely why I'm crying. Nothing emotional. *sniff*

Everyone complaining about the singer is a dunce. Fine, you like the original better. But it’s basic behavior to crap on talented individuals who’ve made something beautiful. Something you’ll never come close to doing. Good bye, enjoy your mediocrity.

This guy isn't Steven Page. He tries to sing this, but only Steven can.

The Persuasions were Jerry Lawson, Joe Russell, Jayotis Washington, Herbert Rhodes, and Jimmy Hayes. All of them, save Jayotis Washington have passed away. So who are these guys and based upon what can they call themselves The Persuasions? They sure don't sound like The Persuasions.

Too many yeah yeah's but amazing voice. Sounds like he didn't even listen to original, which is cool.

And this video shows how missed and important Steven Page was to the band. What a flop. It is like taking the rising yeast out of bread and expect it to rise as opposed to flop. What a flop BNL has been since they got rid of their main ingredient

Too bad you call it a cover. Its their song except they are missing the real singer. Come on guys, give Steven Page a call. You would make a fortune on the new tour. You are all great, but steven just makes each of you even better. We want him back. yaa
