Maren Morris performed at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago on Wednesday, a night focused on fighting “for our freedoms,” from democracy to reproductive rights and more. Morris sang “Better Than We Found It,” a social justice song she released in 2020 after a summer of protests following the murder of George Floyd by police officers in Minneapolis.

Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz will also formally accept the vice presidential nomination, a day before Vice President Kamala Harris takes the stage as the official nominee.
