Enjoy the ups and down of my new Timberborn Badwater (Update 6) playthrough, this time with the Iron Teeth and a much harder map start. This series has it all: drama, stress, jubilation...these beavers are going to face every disaster and (hopefully!) survive! :-)

if you insist on contaminating beavers rather than building platforms at least put food and water near the decontamination pods. They have to walk very very slowly back to those all the time rather than getting decontaminated. Contaminating them all also pulls all your haulers from their jobs (as their jobs are set to low priority so the haulers become builders, who get contaminated) which crashes your economy as haulers carry twice as much and prevent the workers from stopping working. It's one of the big reasons "the incident" happened.

12:08 "Holly East died of hunger" because Biffa didn't want to waste logs to build a ladder that could have easily saved it. Hail Overlord Biffa.

As the Holly Patreon… I am glad to have sacrificed to the beaver course 😂

Biffa, you need to check your paths, the route from the Mine to the Industrial area is going via the District Centre, when if you add a few paths and a couple of ladders you could have a much more direct path.

Also you can build any of the Platforms on top of Shafts, the shafts can pass through the legs, so if you need to be more economical with space you can put a trench in and run power through under the paths.
Even better if you need to run water too, you can have water passing through the shaft/Platform combo. It's a great space saver if you need it.

I know I say it a lot, but this is the highlight of Saturday mornings. Thanks for keeping us entertained, Biffa!

Both your industrial area and your mine are a giant cul de sac. You can toss a lot of haulers at the problem, but a more efficient path network would be better.
When you build the giant water wheels and connected them to the industrial site with power shafts, you could have also connected both areas with a path which you didn't. While power gets to travel the short route, any materials needed to expand the power area has to go the long route causing delays and making bots run out of power faster.. If this was cities skylines, you would have seen the giant traffic jams and fixed it ages ago, but timberborn doesn't have traffic jams so it has gone unnoticed.

Sidenote: Near the beginning of this series you build a giant ladder from the starting area down to the farm area below the starting plateau. You had a period that you played without the ladder mod and that made all ladders dissapear. To this day that ladder is still missing

Thank you again Biffa for the Saturday chill moment!
With ladders you can stack the warehouses "infinitely" a bit easier by always putting platforms in front of the door and a ladder stack next to. This way the path that goes by never gets blocked .

aqua duct to dry areas and turn the map green

I think a "beaver retreat" would be nice. Like a couple of houses with lots of decorations and well-being stuff around. Maybe even a little forest and a waterfall to give it vibes!

Also, you're staring to run into the same hauler problems that led to The Calamitea

I’m excited to see what you can do with this update

There is no (theoretical) maximum of power the water wheels can give you. You "just" need more water to flow through.
A more direct connection between your industrial zone and the mine along the water wheel zone might be helpful.

I would make the mining area, a smelting area as well, though they have to transport the metal, blocks anyway may speed up production

Set the Scrap metal storage near the smelter factories to prioritize by haulers, so haulers will fetch scrap closer to the smelters so your workers don't need to walk across the map to get materials.

I think you already know this but Fun fact: the more pressure you have(1 block water line) the faster the water wheels will spin (to create more energy) love your vids biffa❤

you know if rotate the large wheels to the support shaft on of the outside you can have a single 4 wide channel and you would have saved a lot of wood on levees, also water that is 1.01 tiles deep will power wheels if only 0.01 water touches the wheel as as well an 1.01 touching

btw if you run bad water on the ground to can get rid of contamination by putting a metal floor on the ground inside the channel

Now you should look into going around and capping the Badwater sources. With the Iron Teeth I think those sources can be kept flowing even during a drought. constant power.
