This is part 2 of my trophy pollock video, I went spearfishing on the second day of our trip and mackerel were everywhere! So after taking one with the gun and also a lovely Pollock + Wrasse I switched over the the pole spear and started chasing them down for the extra challenge. Using a pole spear in the UK is very unheard off and after a bit of research I think I might be the first person to have filmed myself shoot a mackerel with one!.
Next season I'll look into getting a bigger game pole spear as opposed to the 5 prong I have now so it'll allow me to start targeting bigger fish.
