I think its not for the refugees like palestine, syria. This is mostly made for the refugees in west that maybe facing natural disaster.
These things must be little pricy and governments only do it for its own citizens

Let's make it available to commoners who can't afford to build or buy a normal house

The issue with this is the price. Usually most ONG organizations and governments get these things super overpriced, to the point where a tent in a refugee camp can cost more than building a house in a nearby area.
If they can also solve the affordability issue, then it's useful. Otherwise, it's useless for it's purpose and will probably be repurposed by the usual camping market.

I believe everyone should be assigned with certain area of land for living because no other animal pay on this planet to live... And there should be a concept of time currency or time taxes where a person can pay their taxes by spending certain hours at govt. Workplace... Everyone should have right to live peacefully on this planet... Homelessness is the biggest reason for crime... And if people will be fed well they'll think of other things like getting a degree or doing some innovation but nowadays people are just worried about their living and it's so hard that they can't think of other innovative things...

This would be an amazing idea for very poor countries, like Africa and places like that, people who have mud huts or nothing at all, would think this is a great idea, let’s hope it catches on and provides homes and security for thousands who need it! I would definitely donate to this as a cause if I won lots of money because this and the other charity out there called “charity water” who provide wells to poor countries who don’t have clean drinking water, the possibilities could be endless! Not only would they have safe homes, BUT they’d have clean water and be able to grow crops, feed their families and themselves, all while having a safe home to keep cool/warm and a safe environment/future! Now I just need to be able to afford to play the lottery so I can win and help make something like this a reality! I would definitely LOVE to do this, I think it would change the world, and also to be able to do something like this too for the homeless, obviously not as big as these, OR maybe this big, BUT every city and country that’s got a high population of homeless people would need a plot of land big enough to erect so many of these, that’s a given, BUT also I think it would stop having so many places where people complain because of mess etc etc, because then they’d have a place so then other people wouldn’t need to complain because they would t see people sleeping on street corners or trollies filled with the persons worldly possessions, 🛒 which is sad to see, let’s hope this new home concept takes off, helping refugees first, as that’s obviously why it’s been started, and they are in need, they’ve lost everything after all, and then homelessness and poor countries too! Fingers crossed 🤞🏻 xoxo 💋 ❤😊❤😊

My question to Mr Foster and his wonderful foundation. I’m truly moved by these generous initiative on refugees’s shelters. They look amazing and really strong. However, I’m conflicted by the idea that people are being, if they make it, traumatically displaced from their lands, their homes, from their roots, forced to live with a totally different culture elsewhere under smart shelters.
Is Foster and partners also the main contractors of those who displaced them in the first place? Is Foster and Partners receiving commissions from the Netanyahu & Partners and NATO to rebuild places that have been carpet-bombed like in Ukraine or Gaza?
I’m truly sorry for the uncomfortable question.

Shame on govt who put lives in such conditions and then fund foundation so the people stay in pitiable condition for decades.

I appreciate Norman Foster's design for refugee homes, but replicating traditional camp structures/shapes/layout might trigger painful memories. While efficiency and whatever matters, the design should also prioritize dignity and sensitivity to refugees' experiences, ensuring the new homes/surrounding feel welcoming and respectful of their past and culture.. imo it feels like entering another refugee camp 2.0
