I am very sure that if Germany with 5 trillion euro GDP and 83 million people can easily beat Russia's (1.5 trillion GDP and 140 million people) if they would invest heavily in their military for a few years. I mean a heavily armed German would just have to beat 1.7 poor equipped Russians. In WW1 and WW2 we saw that Russia had more than 3x more casualties.
