10 New German Motorcycles in 2021: A Display of BMW Motorrad's Domination

The list of German motorcycle manufacturers includes 4 dozen names, but lets be honest with ourselves, the only company that is still operational and widely known to the around the world is BMW Motorrad. This Berlin hegemon of two-wheelers is represented across all major motorbike classes but admittedly, the German quality goes hand in hand with premium prices. The 2020 and 2021 model years have been very fruitful for the brand and today’s episode of Automotive Territory will cover all of the latest model introductions with their respective specifications and prices.

Derived directly from the supersports S 1000 RR, the BMW S 1000 R supernaked takes full advantage of the new architecture and preserves all of the strengths of the predecessor.
If sportsbike levels of performance characteristic for the S1000RR mototrcycle are not enough for your thrill appetites, BMW is now ready to satisfy them with BMW M 1000 RR – the first-ever bike co-developed with the brand’s M division.
The GS family of dual-sport motorbikes has been on sale since 1980, so this year marks its 40 years anniversary. Just in time for the celebration, the company brings to the market updated, top of the line R1250 GS model, in standard and Adventure guises.
Four years after its successful debut, the Bavarians refresh the smallest member of the GS line. Though the 2021 model still carries the 313cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder with 34 hp, it gets updated electronic throttle controller to meet Euro 5 emission standards.
This range-topping BMW tourer was introduced to the market in 2019, but this year, the brand is giving it a few important updates. The R 1250 RT gets standard Integral ABS pro, dynamic traction and cruise controls, while options include revised Hill Start Assist Pro and new Active Cruise Control.
The entire quartet of sport heritage BMW models welcomes the 2021 MY with Euro 5 compliant engines, richer standard packages and a wider array of options. The R nineT, R nineT Pure, R nineT Scrambler, and R nineT Urban G/S still share the air-oil cooled 1,170cc boxer.
All-new for 2021, R18 cruiser bike is released in standard and Classic versions. The latter becomes for prepared for long distance riding and adds a high windscreen, passenger seat, and a set of saddlebags.
Sport touring of 2021 for the BMW lineup consists of two new models based on their respective roadster and superbike siblings. The BMW F 900 XR and S 1000 XR are packed with new tech.
Though the ultra-fresh BMW cruiser has just started its market path, we have witnessed a few custom projects already. This time, a renowned customizer from Austria, Bernhard Naumann, partnered with BMW to give the R 18 a neo-retro vibe.
The middle-class dual-purpose BMW GS models are joining the aforementioned heavier and stronger 1250 GS siblings in the celebration of the 40th anniversary of the line.
Developed by Roland Sands Design, the Dragster version of the new R18 focuses both on exterior modifications and improving the bike on the mechanical front.
As a part of the 2021 promotion of the BMW R nineT Bike, Motorrad cooperated with the Russian tuner Ziller Garage, to create a one-off cafe racer model with all-aluminum body.
