Welcome to "Taka the Entertainer," a channel where the artistry of classical and musical theater singing meets the enchanting world of magic. My name is Takaaki Matsumoto, an AEA actor and a proud graduate with a Bachelor of Music from Soai University in my native Osaka, Japan. My journey took a turn when I moved to the United States in 2019 to study at Longy School of Music, earning both a Graduate Performance Diploma and a Master of Music degree. During my time at Longy, I had the honor of performing lead roles in the operas "Maria de Buenos Aires" and "El Amor Brujo," which were selected as finalists for the prestigious The American Prize. My college years were rich with performances in operas, including engagements with Opera North in New Hampshire.

My roots in classical ballet and theater dance from a young age led me to a natural transition into musical theater after graduation. I quickly found success with an ensemble role in "The Little Mermaid" at the Franklin Performing Arts Company in Massachusetts and continued to captivate audiences in "Bright Star" and in "Tarzan" as Tarzan's father and Ensemble.

Within a year post-graduation, I achieved my AEA actor status, a testament to my dedication and passion for the performing arts.
