THIS STORY:

We travel to Valdosta and Griffin Georgia to two cemeteries on the trail looking for the truth - to find the real burial location for Doc Holliday.

John Henry "Doc" Holliday was an American gambler, gunfighter, and dentist. A close friend and associate of lawman Wyatt Earp, Holliday is best known for his role in the events leading up to and following the Gunfight at the O.K. Corral. He developed a reputation as having wounded and killed several men in various altercations.

_________________________________________________________
The Angel face you see is the Haserot, named “The Angel of Death Victorious". The stoic angel is seated on the marble gravestone of canning entrepreneur Francis Haserot and his family. Holding an extinguished torch upside-down, it represents a symbol of life extinguished. Wings are outstretched and the gaze is straight ahead.
IN THE END, DEATH ALWAYS WINS. LEST THE FACES NOT BE FORGOTTEN...

This channel is focused on casually walking and viewing a handful of the thousands of forgotten names and faces at various cemeteries near and afar. Seeing their faces up close. And when able, telling the stories behind their names.

Most graves are unknown and lost to history.
Some are famous.
And some infamous....
....and some with tragic endings.

Thank you for honoring history and blocking those who would dishonor history, and the deceased interred in this cemetery.

Great videos and thank you. As a GA native, and someone who became interested in Doc more than 30 years ago, I have been to the graves of his parents and also to the cemetery in Griffin, where his sister is buried and have seen the two mysterious grave slabs that some say is him.

There is circumstantial evidence that Dox is indeed home in GA. No one in Colorado can tell you where he is buried, the grave site is where a pallbearer guessed it to be several years after he died. There was also a rockslide or a mudslide where several graves were washed down off the mountain in Glenwood and some say he is in someone's backyard. However, it was known by the family that his Father Henry and Cousin went and got him and brought him home.
There was also the longtime grave keeper named Osgood Miller, who said in later years, that as a young man, the older man who was the cemetery keeper told him, "You know, Osgood. Doc Holliday is buried over there."

Who knows exactly though. But if I recall correctly, there is an unmarked grave with a small headstone next to his sister. I have wondered about it as a possibility.

Doc's dentist office is still standing in Griffin as well.

Val Kilmer made Doc Holiday infamous all over again. Best Doc Holiday in my opinion

How sad his mother was buried on her own, how interesting that he wished for it not to be known where his final resting place is but understandable. R.I.P Doc 😇😇

I like all the time and effort you spend to find and explain the graves and where they are. Keep up investigations.

Doc's life was filled with misery and woe. Doc’s mother, Alice Jane Holliday, was his piano teacher. He was an excellent player and favored Chopin and Beethoven. Chopins nocturnes are full of sweeping dark emotion, just like Doc. He knew he was terminal for a long time. Rest in peace Doctor Holliday, wherever you are. 🙏

Insane that so many want to erase history. Thank you for being a responsible American striving to preserve it. Another wonderful video, Ron. Thank you.

I used to live in Valdosta and never heard anything about Doc. This is crazy - I need to take a road trip this summer I guess.

I've lived in the Griffin area for the last 50 + years. We've heard many stories about his final resting place. This is the first time I've heard he was buried in Stonewall Cemetery. But it does make sense for his grave to be kept in high secrecy. Thanks so much for all the deep research you do to bring us this great history and content. I guess we will never really know where he is buried but the mystery sure is enthralling.

I am one of the Holliday descendants i live in a little town of Douglas not Douglasville but Douglas Coffee county Georgia about 45 minutes maybe an hour away from Valdosta and about an hour and a half to 2 hours from Griffin my granny was born in 1913 and my papa was born in 1900 I never got to meet my grandpa he passed away in 1967 but I loved talking and listening to Granny tell me all of the family secrets lol and looking at letters and family Bibles that were passed down throughout the family and throughout the years and to be honest with you no one in the family is going to tell you exactly where John/DOC is buried it is kept within the family DOC Daddy wanted his son to rest in peace. So sorry to say no one is going to tell you exactly where he is buried at but 100% he is in Georgia. And thank you for being respectful of our CSA veterans Graves. And please come back to see us come to Douglas and I can show you some holidays that are buried in Atkinson county GA to.

It's interesting to see how many of the old west figures have mysterious burial locations. I don't think we will ever know the truth but it is fascinating to speculate.

Thank you Ron. Thank you for all your hard work and for taking us along on this interesting explore. In reflection, this is perfectly appropriate, based on what we know of his personality. Perfect, in that he may just appreciate the mystery that has pursued. I believe that he has every right to be able to rest in peace. TY for your unfailing respect in these lost lives...♥️

❤ Rest in Peace Miss Alice. Sad to think you are there by yourself. I have been fascinated with Doc for many years now. There are a few others I am intrigued with, but none as much as Doc. I would love to know where he is actually buried. I do understand that there are people that would destroy his final resting place, but it just leaves us Doc fans who would never do harm stuck.
Thank you again Ron for trying to get to the bottom of the mystery.

Ron, you answered the question I asked on Pt. 2 regarding those in attendance at Doc's burial and how they were able to keep it a secret. At the same time, why would it be necessary to have a secret club of people that possessed the knowledge if the whole point was to keep the actual location unknown. The dissemination of false information has been sufficient to keep everyone scratching their heads for over a century. Well played, Mr. Holliday Sr, well played!

Wow, I have no idea! I knew there was controversy about where but I didn't understand the story behind us. Thank you for all of your hard work and investigative qualities to give us answers to questions we didn't even know we had! LOL thanks Ron
