Yes, I had a similar experience once while trapped on an isolated road in a blizzard with dozens of other vehicles. One man stood out from the rest for his eagerness to help push cars, etc. In an hour, he completely took control of all traffic and stopped everything indefinitely, having everyone get back in their cars until further notice. It was at that moment I saw that his plan was to rob everyone by recruiting a few soft-headed men to help him enforce his rule. I gunned it out, as he rammed my windows trying to break in and stop me. One hour. That’s how long it takes for society to resort to rule-by-thug.

These are the same guys that hang out a house parties or bars looking for the most vulnerable (usually the most drunk), and then offer to escort them home, only to take advantage of them at that point. I hated these guys in college.

Honestly it's getting out of hand here. I live downtown Toronto and during summertime you can't go anywhere without seeing protests and demonstrations or parades. Utter chaos.

People are willing to roll the dice on very risky macro situations because they figure its easier than being moral and rational to achieve their micro ends.

Whats interesting as a woman is we encounter those kinds of predatory males all the time.. when we speak to other men about them we are dismissed and told we are imagining it.
