3. The Words of Institution: What the Supper is

Jesus takes bread and wine.
We take bread and wine.
Jesus says, "Eat and drink."
We eat and drink.
Jesus says, "This is my body and blood."
We believe Jesus' words.

We do not go beyond those words of Jesus to ask "How?" or "What if...?" questions. We simply do what Jesus did and believe what he says.
