The perfect reason to shoot a .019 fiber

I get asked all the time why I prefer the size fiber optic that I have even though a smaller one could offer better aiming at longer distances. Through a few decades of trial and error, the .019 is the right choice for the reasons I explain in this video.

I went with the .10 red top pin, green bottom. Using the red top pin has really helped my consistency at triple digits

I run 3 pin sliders in green - red - green with top two at .019, and bottom at 0.10.

I'm the same way. My 4 pin is green, red, green, red. And they are all .019". Only because I'm primarily in Indiana in a treestand with shorter shots. But, I may be getting the Black Gold Ascent Verdict 5 pin or the Ascent Mountain Light 5 pin. So when I go out to Colorado on an elk hunt, I'll have a sight adequate for that type of hunting.

I use a 19 thousand pin on my shrewd optum 35mm scope. The pin is green. On my 3D set up. Cool video

I hate the .019 on my copper john. They are so bright that they burst and cause me to not be able to see the target.

I have a piece of electrical tape on the top of the fibers on my housing on my spot hog to block some of the light so my pin isn't so bright

Why does no company use blue fiber? I rebuild my sights with blue and green. No red as it fades out without added lighting

Dang I just switched recently. I was shooting a 5 pin all .19 and shot it well. But I felt like the big pins where distracting me from focusing on where I wanted the arrow to hit. I though that smaller pins would help me really focus on where I want the arrow to hit. I guess maybe I'll be wrong now that I just bought a new site with all .10 pins.

I wish they'd make a .005 pin, even a .01 at 100 is like 4 inches on target

On my single and a couple of 3 pin slider hunting scope i have changed the fiber optic to the blue color. That damn red crap is basically useless in lower light levels like heavily clouded days and later in the evening. The top and bottom fibers are blue and the center one is green. I don’t use a multi pin that has any fixed pin as they are NEVER correct. Like these new two post vertical scopes where the bottom pin is not moveable. Really? So you set the top for 20 and the bottom pin ends up on some weird number like 33 yards. Useless. I don’t understand why sight/scope companies don’t use or offer the blue. For me it’s the best way to go.

You’ve said before that you didn’t wanna sign up for a professional tournament because you’d didn’t feel you’d be able to train for it… but yet you say you train every day… you train for TAC using the Delta McKenzie pro targets which are the Targets used for ASA, and after hunting season you train on a Vegas face at 20 yards counting X’s…. Your doing all that with a hunting bow with very low stabilizer and draw weight with absolutely no magnification… and a few months ago you posted a video of where you talked about your training to aim off arrows and hit the 12 ring on the black panther target…would it be that much more time consuming to set up a target bow and go through reps to shoot an ASA in the known pro class??? And if not then why not have the Reinhart targets since that’s what you shoot at the TAC’s??
