Beautiful. The beginning of the melody was used by Radio Nederland (Netherlands) international in the 1960s and 1970s as it's "Interval Signal", which allowed shortwave listeners worldwide to find it in crowded shortwave bands.

This composition is very similar to a popular Dutch song called ‘Merck toch hoe sterck’ (1626) from Valerius. The melody is said to be from Italian origin. The text refers to the siege of Bergen op Zoom by Spanish troops in 1622.

Glad you liked it, Chad. My copy came from a book called Dowland's Half Dozen, published by Ricordi; it should be available in many places as it's simply the Dowland original, although arranged for guitar.

Very nice arrangement and playing! I haven't seen a printed version with all these nice ornamentations. Can't find Kilvington either though he should be published with Ricordi.
