I’m totally on board with you, the box was super cool and I felt just like you: I was able to make proper lines with this magical pen!
I don’t think you broke the rules, after all, they do allow additional supplies to be used (pencils, brushes, gel pens/ white guache, etc.) So you should be good. ☺️
I had the same struggle with the background like you and the pigment couldn’t flow and mix as I intended to. Regardless, you created a lovely piece! 🎉
