I Don't Know Ozzy/Randy Rhoads Guitar Riff w/TABS

"I Don't Know" is a song by Ozzy Osbourne from his debut solo album Blizzard of Ozz, released in 1980. It's one of his classic tracks, featuring iconic guitar work by Randy Rhoads, blending heavy metal with melodic elements.

The song’s lyrics reflect uncertainty and the theme of not having all the answers, a recurring sentiment in rock and metal. Its guitar riff and solo are highly regarded, with Rhoads' playing being one of the highlights of the track.

It’s one thing to play it, it’s another thing to create it

You got that tone really close. Randy's chords sounded so great because with all the overdrive you still hear each note.

I just found you but you're the best you know it's I think people really need to hear if you can pull it off and that is the same artist I think from the same album song is Over The Mountain.

I'm seriously not trying to troll ya dude but Randy plays that droning open A at a slower pace giving it some breathing space, while hanging on to the A, B & C partial barre chords a bit longer. You've got the skills to play it obviously, but this sounds like something computer generated at twice the speed Randy actually played it at. Slow it down & give it some feel & emotion.

That pull off lock at the end, such a Rhodes signature lick! Done of these he picks every note. He was so accurate!

Do you need to do this lick on a Les Paul ?

That alternating A rhythm is actually incorrect, it's not just the same thing repeated over and over. There is a certain groove and a bounce in it if you listen very carefully. He skips some of the A notes to give it a certain feel. The way most people play it, it's very stiff and sounds too mechanical. I saw Paul Gilbert playing it and even he played it wrong, didn't sound good at all. I'm talking about the studio version of course

Dude, you gotta work on the alternate picking. It’s not straight up and down. There is an actual gallop to it.
