Technically, Shadow was created as a 17 year old, he was in a coma for 50 years and he doesn’t age. Shadow is still mentally and physically 17, he’s been in a coma for almost his entire life then only lived his life for a few minutes before dying again in Sonic Adventure2. So in conclusion, Shadow is technically younger than Sonic since he’s been dead his whole life💀 Also, Sonic has been 15 for the past 36 years😂 And ages were removed too, so now they’re all ageless lol.

Look I’m not intending to start a fight but it drives me insane hearing people say shadow is 50+ and I have to say something. As I recall, it has been explicitly stated that Shadow is mentally and physically fifteen years old. There’s straight up nothing “ew” about the supposed age gap, shadow was literally unmoving and not changing in fucking cryostasis for fifty years, not living and aging. If he was it would be creepy but it is extremely clear he is not. Even in the preview at the end of the second movie, Shadow seems to be sized and proportioned the same as Sonic. In fact, they’re ALWAYS the same size and exhibit the same maturity level. The cryostasis does not mean Shadow is a fully fledged adult and it’s made very clear he’s literally just a teen, on top of, y’know, him being stated to be mentally fifteen in one of the games and implied to be physically the same fucking age.
Shadow is also never referred to as being fifty years old or older, but as being *from* fifty years ago, which deliberately paints a different picture, and in universes like Sonic Boom and The Black Knight, Shadow most likely is from the exact same time as the others and is *still only fifteen*, making it very clear there was no intent for him to be 50+, especially since there’s a reason all the characters are kids and teens and it’d be stupid to break that with Shadow for no reason, which they did not.

As a Sonadow Shipper, I do sometimes agree about the age gaps- however Sonadow People also love to make AUs of diff ages- but hey this is your opinion, and I completely respect it- Watched this over a million of times too It's still so good 😍
