Enjoyed the previous episode with Polly and Austin. And have shared it with friends. Also enjoyed this episode. And will share it again. Looking forward to the coming episode with the sad story songs. That will be hard to narrow down. We might all have to hear the reminder about 'what we focus on' after that episode. 🙂

Included in future story song tellers discussions should yes be Marty Robbins and also Barry Manilow, and of course more Jim Stanford. Not all of his story songs were sad, Summer The First Time, or Me and God are Watching Scotty Grow don't fall into that category but Honey has to make the sad list. Cher also had another story song Bang Bang. While he can't be really considered a Storyteller in Song artist in high contention Elvis did spin a few tales in music. In the Ghetto and Long Black Limousine both fit the Sad song qualification. He also had My Boy, Kentucky Rain, Padre, Separate Ways, My Little Friend and Polk Salad Annie. Now most were not about other people but stories of the singers life, but stories still, there were a few others too. I guess when you record near 800 songs and do about 30 musical movies a few stories will hide in there.
