Im sure if FromSoftware took the amount of time they put into creating a bunch of unique enemies/locations and put it into making the game seem photo-realistic it would look on a similar level. However, they are completely different games, both amazing, and also both just as polished in their genre

I've seen many robberies; in Academy awards, Music awards, Sports Mvp awards. But biggest robbery in history of human kind is the 2018 Goty award. Robbing Goty from Rockstar's masterpice, Rdr2 and giving it to an overrated PS exclusive was like a crime against humanity.

Those two games are not comparable in any way. Red dead 2 is definitely superior in the graphic sector ( I love the style of elden ring tho). Elden ring has way better gameplay (mechanics etc) and it also has a wayyy deeper lore. Players that fancy the graphics should go for rdr2. Gamers that want a truly challenging and majestic journey should get elden ring without a second thought. Since 2018 rdr2 was tied with bloodborne as my favourite game ever but since elden ring released, I changed my mind

I think people forget how great rdr2 looked and it’s strictly optimize for last gen, I’ve seen many people saying Elden rings the best looking game out and it looks great but that’s a stretch

To me, Elden Rings is a lot more exaggerated in comparison to RDR2, which is more on the realistic side. I think they are both beautiful games for different types of people, in fairness though, RDR2 has stolen my heart with its amazing graphics!
