Overpass 2 Review - The Final Verdict

Overpass 2 is an off-roading experience fraught with major and minor hiccups from controls to basic racing mechanics that ultimately prove to be unsatisfactory. I am all for slow and methodical gameplay, but speed is often stifled to a slow crawl by rocky terrain, and sluggish controls hinder an otherwise average experience.

As both a racing and team management sim, Overpass 2 manages to bundle multiple gameplay mechanics into one package without excelling at any of them. Racing fans will find better experiences in other titles already on the market.

It's one of those games you either buy for 5 bucks at 90%off in a sale and forgot you bought it, or you maybe play once in a GamePass or similar.

This game is absolutely amazing! I just started playing last night and I love it! It’s free on PS Plus right now (10/20/2024) and is a MUST HAVE..

It’s something chill to play when u don’t feel like being super competitive but still want to have fun.

I tried Ride 5 first and it was extremely difficult for me to control the bikes. I then switched to Overpass 2 and haven’t looked back.

2:27 I haven’t had in “laggy” issues.

Umm... Don't go by this review so much. This game is genuinely fun! Started playing this with my brother on Split-screen and we found ourselves restarting stages because the stakes really did get that high 😂. We were playing Hillclimb mode at the time if you're curious. Career mode didn't grab me as much, but I'm willing to see it through, simply because i love the heart the devs have put into the game.

I thought the first one was great. I think slow and methodical is probably what many fans of the first one are looking for. Not finding slow and methodical fun is kind of an opinion. I imagine this game will actually be cool for some people. Granted, you could be right. 2 could be God awful. But the fact that everyone says, "Like the 1st one, this one sucks too" when I know that I LOVE the first one leads me to suspect that it's just not everyone's cup of tea. I'll be going against the grain and trying this.

That is why we have the issues we do now in gaming. The devs listen to the wrong people. And the wrong people are the only people who speak up. 😂

Just another sad example of a company dumping everything into graphics rather than physics. Off-roading sucks in FH5. And this looks exactly like that
