I wouldn't even have know what a winter formal was if it wasn't for those american teen movies. School dances are not a thing in the Caribbean.

Gurl I never went to any dances as well, and regret nothing. The day of the dance, means no school for me and I wouldn't trade that for anything. And can't imagine the stress of picking out dresses wondering if I look good in my make up, not to mention the money you have spend. And the next day I only hear complaints about my classmates how boring it is or the tea of who asked to dance with who. Idk that's the case for me, my mom on the other hand tells me how much of a dream and fun those things are
