In this adventure we will be installing a few much needed mods to protect your new CFmoto Ibex 450 / 450MT. As many of us that take our bikes off roading some protection is much needed on our Ibex 450 / 450MT.
So we will be testing out some the Heed crash bars, a skid plate, tanks grips, and some hand guards.

That scratch just means it's customized now. Ain't nothing like it in the universe.

My dealership finally got the blue ones in this week. Hoping to get my grey one next week. Curious how you got the green decal off? Heat gun solvent? I appreciate your videos. Giving me some great ideas. Keep them coming.

Fact is that an adventure bike dont look cool without all the crash protection! 😊

Are the crash bar heavy? That looks the best I've seen so far?

I purchased the same hand guards and am struggling to install them. Which bolts did you use on the end of the bars? The ones that came with the bike, Amazon or another? Did you use spacers/weights etc?

Great video by the way.

Thanks, good stuff. Was wondering if you've taken off and remounted your bash plate yet? The mount points on the 450 are really flimsy and the frame extensions that you attach to get easily knocked out of position resulting in a nightmare to reinstall. A 20 minute oil change takes 2 hours of screwing around trying to get it reattached. I feel like I'm working on my 990 again. Love the bike but would really love it if someone comes up with a better solution that stays true. Cheers!

you still need that front axle sliders to protect those forks.

Where did you get the geed crash bars that connect to the frame...everything I see connects to the engine and seems like all it would do is put stress on engine mounting points

can you share the link for the habdguards?

One more question - Has CF Moto implemented a fix to keep water from getting in (and causing rust) in the lower engine cradles? (Have you seen that problem from international owners in other countries?)

Man... now it's even heavier though! You are probably as heavy as my 790 Adv!

While i would buy the crash bars too. The side only hits the ground if there is something sticking up...lioe a big rock. Was designed to only have the handle bar ends touch, not the side of body. But yes. Always better to be safe than sorry

Links to products you have on the bike?

Could you list all of the mfgers of the components you discussed?

seems like the lower crash bars are not really doing anything, other than adding a few lbs. Seems like the the upper is doing its job though

Chineseium on Chineseium. Most appropriate guilt free cheapo mods especially on a Chinese bike.

I would not put the upper crash bars on. Adds weight and makes the bike even wider. I would likely invest in new upper panels... given, unlike some manufacturers, they are not particularly expensive. Lowers, that would be another matter. Proper handle bar proptectors, an absolute must. Take a bike off tarmac and don't expect it to get cosmetically beat up, you're simply not being realistic. Your bike is a consumable item.
