People underestimate how critical it is to say hi to the customers dog

Had good experiences with Bosch appliances. Bosch dishwasher started getting smelly, turned out the drain pump wasn't working properly. £25 for a new one, went in with a single screw and a bayonet fitting and it was back in business. Only problem it's had in 18 years.

The company I worked for used to sell electronics to Bosch back in the 90s. They would open a box, inspect it, if there was the slightest mark on any product they would send the whole batch back - which was 1000's of parts. We also had a Bosch washing machine. Had it for about 15 years, it never failed. The only reason we got rid was for cosmetic reasons.

I work in a massive vegetable factory (Albert Bartlett) and all of the machines we use for packaging the potatoes are made by Bosch. That's how you know they make good stuff because management absolutely HATE spending money on new machinery

My grandparents own a Bosch dishwasher. They bought it 11 years ago and it’s been a workhorse. Super quiet, never smelly, and I love the layout of it. Only ever had two issues with it, those being the door springs and I think the water inlet control. Super easy and inexpensive fixes too!

Its nice you are fixing things and not putting it into landfill.

I love a repairable device. Well done Bosch for making it repairable AND providing the parts. Small points reduction for integrating the heater and motor so you are throwing away a good motor.

Had a Bosch that came with a house it was quiet, dishes were always clean. I fixed the pump and spent the money to replace the heater when it failed. It wasn’t the easiest machine I had worked on but solidly built. Then I started a load and took a nap one day only to find the house filled with smoke, control board caught fire. Replaced it with a Kenmore that wasn’t as quiet but we weren’t afraid to run it when we left.

BSH builds both Bosch and Siemens (it used to be something like Siemens Bosch Haushaltsgeräte).

I would buy Miele.

If you open the door in a heat cycle it can easily trip the thermal fuse in the motor. Build up of anything on the element that stops heat transfer will pop the fuse as well. Hated working on that model!

I’ve found their customer service pretty good in the UK too. Far better than the likes of AEG

Had a Bosch dishwasher and it lasted about 12-14yrs. Used day in, day out, for a family. No maintenance, just the odd clean of the filter. Brilliant bit of kit. Replaced it with another one, and after 3yrs, no complaints at all.

I like their stuff too. Especially their wiper blades. They last the longest in NC
