On October 29th, Elon Musk officially took ownership of Twitter, and he's already dissolved the board of directors and installed himself as CEO. But can he run a social network the way he runs SpaceX and Tesla?

This guy is making many assumptions with little to no information on what is happening behind the scenes. The $8 charge would get you more than a check mark. If you don't want to pay, stick with the free account. We have no idea what Elon is ultimately going to do. He obviously likes to think out loud and get feedback. Right now it's all wait-and-see.
