Marsch aus dem Haag [German march]

Показать описание
Composed by Francois Dunkler, arranged by August Heinrich Neithardt.
The piece has been an army march since 1830. It was sent to Prussia's King Frederick William III in 1829 for his collection by his daughter Luise, who was married to Prince Frederick of the Netherlands and living in The Hague. The arrangement for Prussian instrumentation was provided by Kapellmeister Neithardt (*1793, +1861) from the Kaiser Franz Grenadier Regiment in Berlin. The march was played a lot. Wieprecht wrote a new arrangement for the more advanced music corps in 1869. In 1933, army music director Professor Schmidt included the piece in his march book 4th series for all German military music (in the same year, it was given the registration HM II, 19 in the directory of German army marches). In 1961, the Bundeswehr adopted it from the 4th series of the marching book into its marching book volume II as AM II, 111. But: as late as 1975, not even the name of the composer was known in Germany.
