President Biden speaks on UCLA protest

President Biden addressed protests Thursday at UCLA and other college campuses around the United States. His remarks followed an overnight law enforcement operation at UCLA to clear out a pro-Palestinian protest encampment that was established about one week ago. Protesters set up the encampment behind plywood and metal barriers, which were broken down by counter-protesters Tuesday night. Sticks, rocks, cones and other objects were thrown at the encampment. A police order to leave the area was issued Wednesday evening. Hours later, officers moved in and dismantled the encampment. Hundreds of people were arrested.
